CM 100 Sound Module
Since 1996, Viscount has had a development programme
examining in detail how flue and reed pipes ‘behave’
in a pipe chamber. In particular, how they interact when played
together. Our mission has been accomplished and this knowledge has
been incorporated in the new ACCUPIPE technology, which provides
the facility to adjust every parameter in each pipe.
The complete ACCUPIPE algorithm is dedicated to producing the most
accurate ensemble as well as each individual solo voice. This gives
the instrument an extraordinary natural feel, similar to that of
a good pipe organ.
Viscount is the first digital organ manufacturer to introduce an
expander module of this quality and realism. ACCUPIPE has been patented
by our laboratories.
The CM 100 can be used to play music from any period because all
the parameters can be easily adjusted. It is the ultimate add-on
for all types of classical organ installation :– a church
(both pipe and digital organs), school, concert hall, recording
studio, or the home.
For the first time, it is now possible to have organ voices designed,
as the pipemaker would build his pipes. Each sound is created and
voiced to suit the acoustics of a building or to blend with an existing
instrument. The voices in the CM 100 have been created (NOT pre-recorded)
using the pipe construction details :- materials (wood or metal),
air pressure, scaling etc. Methods hitherto associated with the
world’s finest pipemakers.
The CM 100 can be voiced and tonally finished to blend with existing
pipes, or to integrate with a digital organ. It is controlled through
MIDI and can be used to reinforce underpowered reeds, add additional
stops (on all departments), or to create a ‘floating’
division. Audio outputs enable up to six channels of amplification
and speakers to be connected to the module. The controls allow each
stop to be routed via suitable channels, to generate wind-chest
layouts for each pipe rank.
The CM 100 is the best choice for the professional musician who
requires the sound of a traditional pipe organ for his work –
particularly where space is limited in a recording studio or home.
There are no frequencies or sampling rates quoted in the specification.
The CM 100 does NOT reproduce what has been programmed in a laboratory.
It creates the sounds YOU wish to hear !
