The Viscount “PRESTIGE” series represents
the state of the art for organs that use sampled sound technology.
These quality instruments combine a finely crafted and attractive
console with unrivalled tonal flexibility. The organist can regulate
the instrument to suit their own taste by using the on-board controls
or with an external computer programme for even greater detail.
The samples used in the Prestige organs have been taken from some
of the world’s finest pipe organs and form a library of more
than 800 voices.
The TruePipe+ Technology
True Pipe Reproduction + Orchestra Sound
Viscount was the first European manufacturer of classical electronic
organs. Since the 1970’s they have recorded some of the finest
pipe organs in the world and have captured the sounds of the different
musical cultures they came from.
After this first generation of organs Viscount started to use sampled
sound technology. Today, thanks to the extremely high quality of
our circuitry, Viscount claim to have the most authentic pipe sound
ever heard from a digital organ.
TruePipe+ Technology is the result of this evolution. We can now
introduce to you "True Pipe Reproduction". The research
and development started in 1996 on flue and reed pipes. Carefully
describing all mechanical details of the organ helped Viscount achieve
the best possible sound quality.
Our engineers and musicians decided to focus their efforts studying
how sounds interact if different registers are used playing a single
note, and then in ensemble, which is typically associated with pipe
organ sound production.
The concept is clear : TruePipe+ algorithms are dedicated to ensemble
reproduction, and not just solo. This gives Viscount Organs an extremely
natural build-up to the sound which is just like a real mechanical
pipe organ. In addition, Orchestral Voices are included to achieve
maximum flexibility in performance.
Prestige organs offer unique flexibility. First of all, the sound
configurations can be selected by the organist, and then the sound
ambience can be carefully tuned to obtain the best result whether
in a church, a school, a concert hall or the organist’s own
home. All Prestige organs can also be configured through a dedicated
PC editor programme.
With Prestige organs the musician can perform music in different
styles such as baroque or romantic, just at the touch of a button.
All the voicing parameters can be easily changed and adapted without
the need of borrowing, as in older digital organs. Each organ can
therefore develop its own unique personality as governed by the
organist.

| AFC- Active Field Control |
 |
In the AFC version, Prestige
Organs are equipped with a digital device that is connected
to small microphones installed inside the cabinet.
With this device, the organ "hears" the level of the
ambient reverberation and adapts its amplification system accordingly.
The results are amazing as the best possible ambient reverb
is reproduced. |
| Configurable via organ editor |
| Thanks to the PC editor,
it is possible to adjust many parameters of the organ. First,
the tuning and volume of every single note of every stop can
be adjusted. This is shown on the computer screen. In addition,
many other parameters can also be customised, such as attack,
release, detune, audio routing and reverb. |

Prestige Organs
offer Orchestral Voices with outstanding sounds. This allows
the organ to be more flexible and suitable for the performance
of today's Traditional and Contemporary music. |
| The general
configuration of the organ can be changed at the touch of
a button by using the MEMory- and the MEMory+ pistons.
This makes it possible to shift up and down through the general
memories of the organ without having to remember which memory
number you are using. |
